Experience the Difference of Experience!

For more than 21 years, I have invested myself into becoming deeply educated about how the human body works and educating others.  I learned to observe patterns and have become clear of the interweaving of the physical body with emotional states, mental attitudes, spiritual practices, and environmental conditions.  These factors influence the way we move (or don't move) every day.  With this knowledge and awareness, anyone can shift old patterns into new ones, create more aliveness, and feel better in their bodies than they ever thought possible.  Allow me to show you how!

After earning a degree in Sociology from Indiana University in 1997, I was fortunate to stumble upon my calling as a massage therapist and bodyworker. I’ve always been fascinated with human behavior and how our thoughts, experiences, and choices create patterns that manifest as our daily reality. When I realized how these factors impact our physical well-being, I knew my life’s purpose would be to educate on this holistic connection and equip individuals with the tools to achieve their healthiest life.

I completed massage school in Boulder, CO in 2000 and have been actively involved in the massage profession since that time in multiple capacities, including working directly with clients in private practice and working in massage education as an instructor, administrator, curriculum designer, mentor, and author.

In 2006 I began my study of Polarity Therapy. This is a dynamic approach that addresses the whole individual. It takes into account four aspects of health: movement, nutrition, attitudes/beliefs, and hands-on bodywork. Each aspect interweaves with the other. Through awareness and education, clients become empowered to be their own healers,  I am simply the facilitator and supporter of that healing journey!

Additionally, I am trained in lymphatic drainage therapy, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy. I am certified as a yoga instructor in two modalities: Restorative and Vinyasa Flow. Restorative is passive and appropriate for all ages. Vinyasa Flow is active and excellent for developing strength and flexibility, focusing on breath as a primary foundation and also incorporating meditation as a means to cultivating peace and joy on every level. They are excellent additions to a daily self-care routine.

I design customized approaches that are unique to each individual and their distinctive concerns, needs, and goals. Therapeutic massage can involve light, moderate, or deep tissue manipulation. I incorporate lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular techniques, range of motion techniques, and energy-based approaches to unwind stress, tension, trauma, or simply provide a balanced reset to your nervous system.  I invite those who are ready to be actively involved in their own healing and wellness and vow to provide an environment of safety, support, and competence.

Cynthia provided a great experience and a massage my tight, overworked muscles needed. The pressure was perfect, and I can’t wait for the next one.
