Stephanie’s Family

Stephanie & her husband.

They've known each other for 30 years!

"Stephanie’s love as a Holistic Therapist has always been to use the culmination of her education and talents to treat the whole client, especially those who suffer from chronic pain and dysfunction by unwinding physical trauma in addition to unraveling the metabolic chaos produced by the body's inability to cope with everyday stressors."

Since 2005, Stephanie has worked with individuals in their pursuit of holistic methods for change and to better their overall health.  She received training in herbs, supplements & topical remedies assisting a local nutritionist and supporting clients on behavior modifications and natural remedies through essential oils, nutrition, and educating on cellular & quantum science.  Receiving additional training in a myriad of modalities -- including Aromatherapy, Lithotherapies, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Five Element Theory, and Usui Reiki --  Stephanie concurrently offered services as a 13th Generation Usui Reiki Master and owned her own company from 2005 to 2009, which featured Reiki Candles, Aromatherapy, Dead Sea Bath Salts and other natural topical remedies for reducing stress, promoting relaxation, and embracing the healing properties of nature.

After moving home to Fort Wayne in 2009, Stephanie began pursuing the next chapter of her training to deepen her understanding of bodywork by treating the nervous system and studying the human body's response to different stressors.  Expanding her understanding of human anatomy and physiology was instrumental, in addition to the psychology of the body and observing the psychosomatic response when treating the nervous system. Coupled with other requirements of her 1,300-hour massage therapy program, Stephanie studied principles of pharmacology and herbs & drugs with special attention to regulating the nervous system by massage and behavioral changes resulting in stress reduction.

“Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit – the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.” – Greg Anderson

Before she would become a Holistic Massage and Integrative Therapist, she became a personal fitness trainer fortifying her ability to counsel others on stretching, exercise, nutrition & making lifestyle changes.  Moreover, her additional training fortified her even further to work with clients to promote a healthy diet, support healthy sleep patterns, adopt a healthy exercise regimen, reduce everyday stressors from diet & environment with lifestyle changes, and offer ideas for supplementation on key vitamins and minerals when necessary.

In 2011, Stephanie sat early for her board exam and became Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork -- which focused predominantly on Eastern Bodywork Modalities with a strong emphasis on the principles of Five Element Theory and Meridian Therapy.  Soon after, she graduated from Ivy Tech with an AAS in Therapeutic Massage.  Years later, she would complete an intensive year-long Medical Massage program, earning her Advanced Certification in Medical Massage Therapy.

Stephanie’s love as a Holistic/Integrative Therapist has always been to use the culmination of her education and talents to treat the whole client, especially those who suffer from chronic pain and dysfunction by unwinding physical trauma in addition to unraveling the metabolic chaos produced by the body's inability to cope with everyday stressors.  She has been providing bodywork sessions with an integrative approach since 2005: her consultations, counseling, energy work, bodywork and massage services are all facets of the same whole-body, Holistic Therapy approach she provides.

"She has been providing bodywork sessions with an integrative approach since 2005, her consultations, coaching, energy work, bodywork and massage services are all facets of the same whole body, Holistic Therapy."

Using a whole-body approach to treat, fortify, and regulate her client's health and well-being via regulating the feedback to the central nervous system (CNS) through touch and meaningful life changes, Stephanie is able to work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues. Overall, the focus of her practice has always been to understand the human body's stress response, coping mechanisms, and adaptations --- anatomically and physiologically on all body, organ, tissue and cellular levels.

Some of her continuing education has been in Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release which is steeped in cellular and fascial form and function, Cupping Therapy and Fascial Movement Taping for Pain and Posture for nerve re-education and regulation. Besides those mentioned, Stephanie’s therapeutic specialties include Integrated Deep Tissue for Pain Management, Orthopedic and Medical Massage Therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy.

Her background as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, certified through the National Federation for Professional Trainers (NFPT), has been a valuable asset in treating and making recommendations to clients and also in working with fitness and healthcare professionals of Northeast Indiana. Her skills and knowledge of muscle imbalances and biomechanical assessment enable her to more effectively assess, treat and educate her clients.

Stephanie is dually Certified as a Genetic-Based Program Designer and Health Coach.  She is currently pursuing certification as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P) to further deepen her understanding of advanced anatomy & physiology and the body's stress cascade response so she can better help clients understand healing opportunities they have and support positive change in combination with massage & bodywork.

Quotes

Most of my visits are with Stephanie at Vital Living. She not only cares about my health but we make each other laugh and have a good time when I am in. There have been times when I walked in the office in terrible pain and walked out with relief. I may never have complete pain reief, but am thankful for any relief that I have gotten. All of you there are in my thoughts and prayers during this awful time of crisis. But Stephanie - Girl...You are the best!!!
