We need to do a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own to-do list,” – Michelle Obama.

Hello,

I'm Jackie, an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Holistic Aesthetician. While working in Dermatology, I had a moment of enlightenment. It became vividly apparent that our skin directly reflects our inner health, and what we nourish our mind, bodies, and spirit with directly impacts our overall beauty. This awakening shaped my future and has become the foundation by which I live my life today.

After years of working in traditional medicine, I felt a calling to be part of something bigger. While conventional medicine focuses on treating symptoms and disease with medication and surgical interventions, I'm pursuing a vision to provide tools and strategies used in traditional healing to complement our current mainstream model.

As a Holistic Aesthetician and Integrative Nutrition Coach, I provide tools, strategies, one on one coaching, treatment plans and wellness programs that produce radiant, glowing skin that illuminates from within and to help people transform their lives into one of health, peace, and happiness.  I can't wait to share with you the healing benefits nature has blessed us with, and I look forward to helping you on your journey to transformation!

Jackie

Experience the Difference of Experience!

For more than 21 years, I have invested myself into becoming deeply educated about how the human body works and educating others.  I learned to observe patterns and have become clear of the interweaving of the physical body with emotional states, mental attitudes, spiritual practices, and environmental conditions.  These factors influence the way we move (or don't move) every day.  With this knowledge and awareness, anyone can shift old patterns into new ones, create more aliveness, and feel better in their bodies than they ever thought possible.  Allow me to show you how!

After earning a degree in Sociology from Indiana University in 1997, I was fortunate to stumble upon my calling as a massage therapist and bodyworker. I’ve always been fascinated with human behavior and how our thoughts, experiences, and choices create patterns that manifest as our daily reality. When I realized how these factors impact our physical well-being, I knew my life’s purpose would be to educate on this holistic connection and equip individuals with the tools to achieve their healthiest life.

I completed massage school in Boulder, CO in 2000 and have been actively involved in the massage profession since that time in multiple capacities, including working directly with clients in private practice and working in massage education as an instructor, administrator, curriculum designer, mentor, and author.

In 2006 I began my study of Polarity Therapy. This is a dynamic approach that addresses the whole individual. It takes into account four aspects of health: movement, nutrition, attitudes/beliefs, and hands-on bodywork. Each aspect interweaves with the other. Through awareness and education, clients become empowered to be their own healers,  I am simply the facilitator and supporter of that healing journey!

Additionally, I am trained in lymphatic drainage therapy, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy. I am certified as a yoga instructor in two modalities: Restorative and Vinyasa Flow. Restorative is passive and appropriate for all ages. Vinyasa Flow is active and excellent for developing strength and flexibility, focusing on breath as a primary foundation and also incorporating meditation as a means to cultivating peace and joy on every level. They are excellent additions to a daily self-care routine.

I design customized approaches that are unique to each individual and their distinctive concerns, needs, and goals. Therapeutic massage can involve light, moderate, or deep tissue manipulation. I incorporate lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular techniques, range of motion techniques, and energy-based approaches to unwind stress, tension, trauma, or simply provide a balanced reset to your nervous system.  I invite those who are ready to be actively involved in their own healing and wellness and vow to provide an environment of safety, support, and competence.

Cindy’s greatest passion in life is helping other people and massage therapy has been a naturally unfolding part of her life, starting as a child. Cindy graduated from Ivy Tech with her AAS degree in Therapeutic Massage in 2007 and prior to that received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration with a Specialty in Business Management in 1995. Cindy completed an intensive year-long Medical Massage program and has her Advanced Certification in Medical Massage Therapy.

Cindy loves the holistic approach to health that massage therapy and bodywork provide. Utilizing many different massage modalities, the majority of her experience has been in the field of health & fitness. Her practice has included adolescents to geriatrics and has spanned prenatal massage to sports massage on giants… well, not really but the Fort Wayne Mad Ants are pretty tall!

Cindy’s quality of touch melts stress and anxiety. Her quality of touch, her evaluation and assessment skills combined with her “internal radar” and medical massage are some of her greatest strengths. She excels at detailed muscle work and getting to the core of the problem. What we hear most from her clients is, “No one has ever done that before! Oh my gosh, I can’t believe the difference!” Clients love her work and often schedule all of their appointments three to six months out. Cindy still has openings though so don’t hesitate to call.

Cindy is very dedicated to her family (her husband and three daughters) as well as helping others. Cindy says, “God has given me the skills and talents I have so that I may use them to help others – I need to use these gifts well.”
